His responsibilities have included examining title, negotiating for and acquiring oil and gas leases, pipeline rights-of-ways, surface and/or sub-surface use agreements, settling surface damages, preparing title runsheets and abstracts of title, curing titles, negotiating farmouts and/or farmins, and researching records of the Texas Railroad Commission and the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources relative to wells drilled in Texas and Louisiana.
Starting in 1978, Mark began doing landwork in Lafayette, Louisiana as a sub-broker for Otis Lomenick, John W. Rettig and Robert R. Schutz.
- In 1983 He started his own brokerage business and has been working as an Oil and Gas Lease Broker in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.
- For the past several years, my focuses have primarily been in Louisiana and Texas working for such companies as Noble Energy, Inc., Calloway Engineering, LLC, Halcon Energy Company, Rozel Exploration, LLC, Key Operating Company, Aethon Energy and Ventex Oil & Gas, Inc.
