R.D. Calloway, P.E. is the founder and president of Calloway Engineering, LLC., headquartered in La Grange, Texas with offices in Houston. His energy related experience started in 1973 working for Texaco Offshore Morgan City, La. in the Gulf of Mexico as an offshore oil and gas production technician. Returning to school in 1979, he earned a B.S. Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1982 and worked for Getty Oil Company - Texas Gulf Coast – Inland Bay Waters Division. In the 1990s he became a Project Manager Professional (PMP) and consulting senior professional engineer for 2 Central Texas natural gas electrical generation utilities purchasing natural gas producing assets and established a Greenfield 60 MMSCFPD gas storage facility. He was the executive project manager for numerous multi-million dollar CIP projects. He formed Calloway Engineering in 2005 and from 2009 – 2012, Calloway and Halcon Resources leased and executed a 68 square mile proprietary 3-D seismic shoot in Austin County, Tx. CE participated and caused to be drilled the exploratory wells from 15,000’ to 17,500’ TVD. All wells were HT / HP gas wells. Since 2005, Calloway Engineering has evaluated, leased, generated and sold prospects to Alcoa, Davis Petroleum, Devon Energy, Echlon Oil and Gas, GeoSouthern Resources, Halcon Resources, LoIn Energy, Medallion Oil Company and Weber Energy. Calloway Engineering always participates in each project they generate.
